Hinge, in particular for furniture doors
The subject of the invention is a hinge intended in particular for furniture doors, which according to the invention is characterized by a bearing of cylindrical shape inserted from the interior of the furniture into the door frame with a flat surface lying parallel to the cylinder axis, from which a recess extends open to the interior of the furniture and in which holes for the Open engagement of the hinge wood, and in which engages a hinge bracket invisibly connected to the door from the outside.
Such a hinge has the advantage that it is completely invisible from the outside. The hinge is further characterized by extremely simple assembly and by the possibility of being able to easily hang and unhook the door in the open state.
According to a further feature of the invention, the bearing base forms a stop for the hinge bracket, which has the advantage that the open door or a flap connected to it does not come into contact with the front surface of the piece of furniture, so that pressure points in the furniture surface are avoided .
With regard to further features of the invention, reference is made to the following description and to the claims.
In the drawing, exemplary embodiments of the hinge according to the invention are shown in connection with the wall and the door of a piece of furniture. 1 and 2 show horizontal cross sections through the hinge in two different embodiments.
Fig. 3 shows the bearing half of the hinge seen from the rear, partially drawn in section.
One half of the hinge consists of a bearing 1 of cylindrical shape, which is provided with a flat surface 2 running parallel to the cylinder axis. The bearing 1 has a recess 3 extending from the flat 2, which is delimited on the inside by two mutually opposite parallel surfaces 4. The recesses 3, d. H. the parallel walls 4 go over with sloping walls 5 in the circumference of the bearing cylinder or in the flattened area 2, as bestausFig. 3 is evident. Bores 6 extend from the inclined surfaces 5 in an inclined direction and serve to accommodate the fastening screws. The bearing floor 7 forms a kind of threshold which begins in correspondence with the flattening.
In the bearing 1 there are also two axially coincident bores which extend from the parallel walls 4 of the recess 3.
The other half of the bearing consists of a bracket 9 which, according to FIG. 1, merges into a screw-on plate 10 and, according to FIG. 2, into a pin 11. In the free end of the hinge bracket 9, the hinge pin 12 is fastened, which engages in the respective lower bore 8 of the bearing 1. Of course, conversely, the hinge pin could also be firmly inserted into the lower hole 8, in which case only one hole is provided for the pin in the free end of the hinge bracket 9.
When installing the hinge, a hole is milled into the door frame or the furniture wall 13 such that the flattening 2 of the bearing 1 inserted in the hole is flush with the rebate surface of the door frame. The hinge bracket 19 is either screwed to the door 14 by screws, the screw-on plate 10 being located inside the piece of furniture. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, the door 14 is to be provided with a bore for hammering in the bracket pin 11, it being possible for pin rotation to be prevented by a transverse pin or a screw hammered into the door.
The part 16 of the bracket 9, which is still in the wood perpendicular to the door and which - as cannot be seen from the drawing - is circular, prevents pivot rotation, however, much more effectively than a transverse pin or the like.

The hinge is completely invisible from the outside of the furniture, especially if the door edge has a flap. Special profile strips 15, which can consist of metal or a plastic, are preferably used as the overlap. The flap 15 engages the furniture wall 13 or the door frame.
When the door is opened in the dashed position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the bearing base 7 forms a stop for the hinge bracket 9, whereby the door opening is limited before the door or its flap 15 comes to rest on the surface of the furniture wall 13 is. As the drawings show, both the recess 3 of the bearing 1 and the convex side of the hinge bracket 9 are directed towards the interior of the furniture. The hinge bagel has so much leeway within the bearing recess 3 that the door can be easily removed and re-hung. Inclined surfaces 5 of the bearing facilitate the introduction of the hinge bracket into the bearing.
The bearing 1 is suitable for a stop on the right and left because it has the two opposing bores 8 intended for the engagement of the hinge pin.
