The individual paper layers are now turned inwards at the free ends. In doing so, the bent edge of the paper sheet 9 immediately adjacent to the insulating tube 8 rests on a verse must cover H of the insulating tube 8. A paper disk M, formed from individual layers and containing a metal coating, which is also indicated in the drawing with stripes, lies thereon.
It is conductively connected to the metal coating lying over the relevant cylindrical paper layer 9, which is connected on the other hand to the end of the lowermost coil section of the high voltage winding. The beginning of this coil is connected to the earthed iron core via a metal coating attached to the insulating cylinder 8. The bent edge of the next cylindrical paper layer 9 lies on the lowermost paper disk 12, and a paper disk 12 ′, etc., comes on top again, the metal layers forming closed conductive envelopes in the manner indicated in the drawing.
At higher voltages it is advisable to place the whole thing in a container filled with oil. In order to enable the oil to circulate, breakthroughs can be provided in the paper disks 1?, 12 ', which are preferably offset from one another in such a way that they are e.g. B. are alternating left (12) and right (').
The design described ensures that the overall height of the arrangement is not much greater than is caused by the level of the high voltage vibration. Otherwise they work

PATENT CLAIMS:
1. High-voltage converter, in particular measuring converter, in which the high-voltage and low-voltage windings, which are arranged concentrically to one another on an open iron core, are separated from one another by an insulating sheath interspersed with metal inserts and wound from layers of paper, characterized in that the insulating sheath, whose paper layers at the free ends inward folded and whose conductive metal inserts are closed by special conductive inserts on the front side, is drawn in the form of a hood over the free end of the iron core.
