Covering structures, in particular bridges.

horizontal ends are approximately at the level of the upper flange. Notwithstanding FIGS. 1 and 2, more than two reinforcing bars 7 can be arranged in a row and several rows one behind the other.
According to FIG. 3, instead of round bars, transverse bulkheads 9 similar to the sheets 3 of FIG. 2 are inserted into the upwardly open grooves of the panels, but with the difference that they rise towards the outside of the panels. Several of these irons can also be arranged one behind the other.
In the embodiments according to FIGS. 4 and 5, metal sheets are used. M of trough-shaped shape, which point downward with the opening of their trough, with their upwardly bent longitudinal edges 11 attached to one another and connected, so that here too a wave-shaped sheet metal skin is formed. In the upwardly open trough-like parts 12, which are intended to receive the concrete used as a road surface or the like, web-like sheet metal strips 13 (FIG. 4) protrude, which are inserted between each two abutting longitudinal edges 11 and through their connection with one another in turn are attached to the sheet metal skin. This connection can be made by screws, rivets or welding.
According to FIG. 5, the sheet metal strips 14 used to secure the concrete can also be fastened next to the flange-like upstands 11, which z. B. is advantageous if the liability insurance is only provided on parts of the length of the metal sheets. The sheet metal strips 13 and 14 are expediently provided with round or angular openings 15, 16, through which the connection of the concrete to the sheet metal skin is made even more solid to form a uniform support body.
In the cover according to the invention, not only the sheet metal of the panels, but also the filler concrete is used to absorb the load, the sheets absorbing the tensile stresses, the special reinforcing iron (7, 9) especially the shear stresses due to the transverse forces and the filler concrete absorbing the compressive stresses. Compared to a design of the filler concrete as a pure reinforced concrete structure with complete reinforcement, the advantage of considerable iron and weight savings and simpler manufacture is achieved. The inclined position of the reinforcement ensures a good connection between it and the concrete.
In general, the new component can be used with advantage wherever a structure is to be provided with a cover capable of additional load bearing.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Covering structures, in particular bridges, with an expediently composed of Z- or U-shaped sheets, undulating cross-section, characterized in that there are reinforcement means connected to the sheets in the upwardly open channels to be filled with concrete, which are in the Rise and run in the longitudinal direction of the channels or only run and bring about a bond between sheet metal and filling concrete are suitable.
