Buffers, especially for railway vehicles.
The invention relates to a buffer with a tubular puncture pusher which can be displaced in a tubular buffer sleeve in a known manner, both in the forging path from a block
EMI1.1
the former releasably connected central clasp is switched on, which in the unloaded state of the buffer absorbs the bias of the spring, the buffer recoil and the spring play and also closes the plunger to prevent it from falling out.
The purpose of the invention is to switch the plunger from joint use to spring preload, to remove the spring action in the unloaded state of the buffer, to get rid of all loads in addition to its own weight, the usual material interruptions or recesses in the plunger casing that serve to limit the stroke and weaken the construction and in the buffer sleeve and to avoid the wear of the main parts resulting from these arrangements as well as the oblique pulling and corners thereof and to make the finishing and dismantling of the buffer as such, while avoiding the pre-screwing of the base plate with the buffer sleeve in the simplest way.
According to the invention, the preload of the spring as well as the absorption of the buffer back and stroke limitation of the buffer advance takes place with the exclusion of the buffer plunger or a combination of the same with a buffer sleeve for this purpose by a separate base plate or
Buffer sleeve base plate, detachably connected central lock, to which the spring-relieved buffer plunger is connected, with a corresponding base construction, as an independent part, freely rotatable, so that as a result of the elimination of the overloads acting on the plunger, which cause one-sided internal wear or ovalization of the buffer sleeve opening Main parts, buffer plunger and sleeve, are protected, the function of the same is precisely centered with the exclusion of corners and skewing and the wear is almost entirely transferred to the central buckle.
The latter is produced as a uniform and cheapest part of the whole, easily replaceable or reworked at the joints most subject to wear and the difference is compensated for by means of appropriate supplements in order to maintain constant spring preload.
In the drawing, two embodiments of the subject invention are shown, u. Between Fig. 1 shows the first embodiment of the buffer in longitudinal section, Fig. 2 shows the second embodiment of the same in longitudinal section, Fig. 3 shows a cross section along the line 4-4 of Fig. 1, Fig. 4 shows a cross section along the line 5- 5 of FIG. 1, FIG. 5 shows a cross section along the line SS-SS of FIG. 1, FIG. 6 shows a cross section along the line 1-1 of FIG. 2, FIG. 7 shows a cross section along the line 3-8 of FIG 2, 8 show a longitudinal section of a further exemplary embodiment of the connection of the central clasp and plunger according to FIG. 1 and FIG. 9 shows an associated cross section according to the line 7-7 of FIG. 8.
In Fig. 1, half of the buffer sleeve is illustrated with the base plate in one piece and with a separate base plate.
In both illustrated embodiments of the buffer, Fig. 1 and 2, a is the buffer

Between the buffer sleeve base plate or separate base plate b and the bottom of the ram rt, a central lock is switched on, which (FIG. 1) is made up of the parts forming a whole, such as connecting pin e, support plate el or eI '. the locking block e2, the locking bolt e3 with anchor head k and locking head s and the two-part insert part eo.
The locking block e2 (Fig. 1, 8) connected to the support plate e1 or e1 'is provided with a longitudinal slot I and at the end with a central bore opening into the same, through which the locking bolt e3 is inserted, whose anchor head & at the end of the slot the Abutment and in the slot has freedom of movement in the longitudinal direction according to the spring play.
For the purpose of connecting the plunger a (Fig. 1) with the central clasp, the bottom of the same is designed accordingly or provided with a projection f which is set back against its outer circumference and has a central bore corresponding to the thickness of the connecting pin e, by means of which the plunger on the for example, by turning in a collar-like connection pin e (with simultaneous contact of its base against

which are drawn into the appropriate holes k of the attachment f in such a way that, in the area of the plunger bore, they pass between the two collar-shaped attachments of the securing pin e at the required distance on all sides. The rods g are secured against falling out by bending the protruding ends.
Another variant, for example, of the connection of the ram with the central lock is in

held.
The listed compounds can be used with a completely self-contained buffer tube (Fig. 1, 8), i. i. with riveted buffer plate t and bottom f pressed by forging. After the buffer plunger has been connected to the central lock (Fig. 1, 8), the spring cl is stretched on the cylindrical locking block of the latter until it rests on the support plate e1 and both by sliding the buffer sleeve ('with a separate base plate b covered by this.
With a corresponding pressure on the base plate, the spring d is compressed or pretensioned with a simultaneous fixed counter-position on the buffer plate t and in this position the locking head s of the locking bolt e3 is inserted or pulled through the insertion hole provided in the center of the base plate and in which there for the purpose of reducing the Hole inserted split bearing part (Fig. 1 and 3) stored, whereby the central clasp is self-contained and after pressure relief of the base plate absorbs the bias and consequently also the buffer recoil

clamped between support plate 1'1 and buffer base plate b.
The ram stroke is limited by the locking block e2, which has its abutment with its base on the buffer base plate b. When the ram moves, it moves
EMI2.5
The support plate e / the central clasp (dash-dotted in Fig. 1) can also be designed in such a way that it has almost the full diameter of the buffer sleeve and, after completing the permissible path, its abutment on an approach resulting from the corresponding design of the inner wall of the buffer sleeve 0 'finds.
In contrast to the embodiment described (Fig. 1), the central clasp, as shown in Fig. 2, can consist of a shell sleeve that unites the parts, support plate 1'1 and locking block e2 and is divided along the longitudinal axis (Figs. 2 and 7) . the halves of which are held together in the position of use by a tubular sleeve 1 'pushed onto the locking block e2, and the collar-like connecting pin e can be arranged on the bottom of the plunger. The tubular sleeve r has a flange at one end which, by resting against the spring d, secures the sleeve against falling.
Connecting pin e and anchor head k are encompassed by the shell sleeve in such a way that the former can be rotated when the ram is secured or connected in the same and the latter, according to the spring play in the longitudinal direction, has freedom of movement in the cavity l of the same. The corresponding elongated shooting head s of the locking bolt% (Fig. 2 and 6) is rotated by 900 after being pushed through the insertion opening 1It provided in the center of the base plate b and stored in the recess n corresponding to the head size, which is arranged at the same angle to the opening 1n or anchored, whereby the base plate can be expanded inwards at the storage location in order to maintain the full plate thickness.
Instead of the tubular sleeve described, the cohesion of the two halves of the shell mune can also be brought about by rings pulled onto them. Effect, purpose and assembly of the parts of the

Education.
In order to dismantle the complete buffer into its main parts, the closing head only needs to be released from its support after the base plate has been pressed down, in accordance with the exemplary embodiments cited in the description. according to which in the simplest way the
The plunger with central clasp and spring can be pulled out of the buffer sleeve.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Buffers, especially for railway vehicles, with a tubular buffer sleeve and a tubular buffer plunger. characterized in that for the purpose of absorbing the spring preload and the buffer jolt as well as the stroke limitation of the buffer advance, if the use of buffer plungers or a combination of buffer plungers with a buffer sleeve is excluded, in the longitudinal center axis of the buffer a support plate with the support plate is supported against the spring or the spring, on or in the base plate or some other spring pad releasably mounted and guided in the spring hole, the spring play is arranged in itself absorbing central clasp,
which at the same time closes the buffer plunger securely as an independent part in such a way that after preloading or recoil of the spring, unaffected by the latter or its effect, it remains freely rotatable and forms a coherent whole with the central clasp.
