Will man z.

Quick release switch with trip coil and holding coil.
The invention relates to electromagnetic tendon holders in which a common magnetic core is assigned two separate magnetic circuits for triggering and holding device, which work together through different saturation. According to the invention, the tripping time of such a switch can be reduced to a large extent if the tripping armature and the holding armature are movable independently of one another and coupled with one another with the interposition of an elastic member in such a way that the tripping armature can begin its movement towards the magnetic core before the holding armature is torn off. This ensures that the acceleration of the movable switch part and the separation of the switching contacts are not delayed by the inertia of the holding armature, so that the switch-off can take place much more quickly.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the device forming the subject of the invention is shown schematically. A stationary magnetic core 1 provided with two pole pairs 4, 5 and 7, 8, respectively, carries a trip coil 2 and a tripping coil arranged in the circuit to be interrupted

is provided and is coupled to the extension 13 of the release armature 6 by means of a screw bolt surrounded by a compression spring 20. The compression spring 20 has a preload which is at least equal to the holding force of the tightened holding anchor 9. The force exerted by the spring 20 must be overcome when the switch is switched on by hand or by a mechanical force.
The strength of the tension spring 17 serving to tear off the movable holder part 13 is dimensioned such that it cannot bring the switch into the switched-off position when the retaining anchor 9 is tightened.
The release coil 2 and the holding coil 3 are connected in such a way that the flow of force generated by them has the direction indicated by the arrows. The magnetic conditions of the magnetic circuit containing the holding armature 9 are selected so that its iron path is already highly saturated by the excitation caused by the holding coil 3 alone. Therefore, if a current flows through the tripping coil 2, it does not cause any significant increase in the force flow passing through the retaining armature 9; In contrast, it increases the flow of force which penetrates the pole pair 4, 5 and the tripping armature 6.
When an overcurrent occurs, the flux of force penetrating the tripping armature 6 is increased so much that the armature 6 is attracted by the magnetic core I, whereby the switch opens, without any change in the magnetic conditions of the holding circuit. First of all, only the mass of the arm 10 connected to the armature 6 and its extension 13 needs to be

and so that the movable contact 14 has already covered part of its way. The break-off switch is finally opened completely by the tear-off spring 17.
In order to ensure that the retaining armature is torn off safely, the rotatable arms 10 and 11 could also be provided on the inside with stops in the vicinity of their axis of rotation that touch each other before the release armature 6 rests on the associated magnetic poles 4, 5 .
It is not necessary, as described above, for the release coil 2 and the holding coil 3 to generate force flows in the same direction. Do you want z. If, for example, the switch does not act in the event of an overcurrent, but in the case of reverse current, the forces generated by the two coils mentioned are opposite to each other in the case of forward current, so that only their difference comes into play inside the magnetic core 1. In this case, however, they remain independent of one another insofar as, due to the strong saturation of the iron path of the holding circuit through the holding coil 3, the reverse current flowing in the tripping coil 2 only results in an increase in the force flow through the tripping armature 6.
There is therefore neither a weakening or displacement of the force flow generated by the holding coil by the force flow from the release coil, but only a relative predominance of the latter over the former.
Without changing the essence of the invention, the mechanical structure of the magnet system could be modified in a manner known per se so that the two armatures 6 and 9, instead of the one around the
Pins 12 rotatable arms 10, 11 are arranged to be mounted parallel to one another on a non-magnetic rod penetrating transversely through the web of the magnetic core 1. The two separate armatures could also be replaced by a single two-armed armature which is suspended like a beam on the middle leg of a three-legged magnetic core, which carries the two coils 2 and 3. It is only essential for the invention that the movement of the corresponding armature causing the release can begin before the magnetic holding circuit is interrupted.
