B. Porzellan, bestehender

EMI1.1
The incandescent screw socket made known by Austrian patent specification No. 88558 with a protective ring made of insulating material that is axially sliding on the threaded cage has the disadvantage that the protective ring is secured against stripping by the flanged edge of the threaded cage, so that the threaded cage, ring and jacket form a coherent whole. which surrounds the spring used to push out the ring, which is therefore not easily replaceable. In the subject matter of the present invention, however, the three parts mentioned are easily detachably connected to one another and can therefore be exchanged individually, as can the spring enclosed by them.
In the drawing, which illustrates the subject matter of the invention, for example, FIG. 1 shows an Edison socket provided with the protective device in longitudinal section with the light bulb removed, FIG. 2 shows the same device with the incandescent lamp screwed in, FIG. 3

a detail.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the socket thread 11 of the normal lamp socket is made of any suitable insulating material, e.g. B. porcelain, existing
Ring a is screwed on, the upper edge of which is formed into a flange M 'which limits this movement when the ring a is screwed onto the thread lu.
On the ring a there is one made of the same material as this, which widens slightly conically downwards
Sleeve c pushed on, the flanged upper edge of which is used to support a helical spring d enclosing the ring a, which is supported against the cover of a jacket b resting on the ring flange al, which prevents the sleeve c from falling out and is itself held on the ring a . For this purpose, the lower edge of the jacket b, which is advantageous
Metal can exist, formed into a round groove of semicircular cross-section, in which a resilient snap ring f (Fig. 4) is inserted, which engages under the flange of the sleeve c in its lowest position and retains it in the jacket b.
A ring y of the same type, on which the edge of the hole in the cover of the jacket b rests, is inserted into an annular groove on the outer surface of the ring a. That way, the
Parts a, b, c held together in an easily detachable manner, the sleeve c, against the effect d, being displaceable along the ring a in the direction of the lamp axis. To z.
B. for the purpose of replacing one of the named parts to release their connection, the ring f is detected by means of a pointed tool to be inserted between the lower edge of the jacket b and sleeve c and pulled out of the channel e, whereupon the sleeve ('or the spring d simply can be removed from the jacket b and the ring y is now accessible so that it can be removed from its groove with the same tool in order to be able to remove the jacket b from the ring a.
When inserting the bulb k into the socket thread 4, the sleeve c lays with its conical lower part on the circumference of the bulb and thereby prevents access to the
Hand to the two lamp contacts.
To the extent that the light bulb k is screwed into the socket h, it urges the
Protective sleeve r against the action of the spring d back in the direction of the lamp axis.

as the ring a is thought and formed as consisting ' with him a single piece. As a result, the snap ring g can be dispensed with here.
The discussed protective device can also be used analogously with a Swan mount.
