EMI1.1

EMI1.1
In eccentric presses, the flywheel, which can be loosely rotated on the eccentric shaft, is usually coupled to the latter by means of a sleeve, which in some couplings is wedged firmly onto the eccentric shaft, in some couplings (the so-called friction clamp couplings) in a steep thread of the shaft or with it firmly connected sleeve can be screwed.
In order to trigger such couplings, it has already been proposed to arrange a pawl such that it can rotate so that it can be brought into the path of a nose provided on the sleeve. In this way of releasing the clutches, the socket nose hits the pawl at the peripheral speed corresponding to the number of press revs. This impact causes a hard, loudly audible impact, especially in the case of high-speed presses, which is extremely damaging to the surfaces of both the socket nose and the pawl that meet.
The subject of the invention is a device that enables the Auftreffgeschwindig-

The drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention applied to a friction clamp clutch.
Fig. 1 is a partial vertical section through the device, Fig. 2 shows in its right half a section after a # b, seen in its left half after c # d of FIG. 1 in the direction of the arrows.
The eccentric shaft of the press is denoted by 1, with the flywheel loosely rotatable on it, the vicinity of which 3 has a conically twisted annular friction surface 4 on the left end face. The coupling sleeve 5 has the corresponding conical counter surface. Its bore is provided with a coarse thread which engages in the corresponding coarse thread C of the eccentric shaft. The socket has a stepped, cylindrical continuation
EMI1.3
The center of this cylindrical extension is eccentric to the center of the shaft 1.
This extension is surrounded by a strong steel band 9, the left end of which is formed into a link 1 (), in the elongated slot 11 of which a bolt 12 engages, which is screwed into the press frame at 13 and the right end of which is inserted into a threaded socket 14.

existing part is stored in a suitable manner, not shown, in the press seal. To get on the socket. 3 to exert a constant pull against the flywheel 3 that acts towards the engagement of the clutch, a disk 21 is firmly wedged with the shaft 1, in the tabs 2, ': tension springs: 28 of which are suspended.
The other end of each tension spring is hooked into pins'4.

that actually by the action of the tension springs 23 of the sleeve the tendency of a rotation in the direction of the arrow P (Fig. 2), thus a displacement against the flywheel of the press is given.
The device works in the following way: As long as the clutch is engaged and the press is working, the sleeve 5 or its eccentric extension 7 is under the brake band. 9 solid, which represents an eccentric ring which is guided through the bolt 12 at its left end 10, which is configured like a link. The right end of the steel strip 9 and thus the stop lug 17 describes a self-contained, elliptical-like path that is dependent on the size of the selected eccentricity.
If the pawl is brought into the path of the nose 1'7, the frictional connection between the circumferential sleeve and the steel band causes the latter to be tensioned at the moment the nose hits the pawl and acts like one

wheel hub and the conical mating surface on the coupling sleeve is canceled and the coupling sleeve itself is pulled off the flywheel by the action of the high-helix thread of the eccentric shaft. As soon as the engagement between the pawl 18 and the nose 1'7 is canceled, the tension springs 23 pull the sleeve again against the flywheel and the clutch reengages automatically.
The main advantage of the new release device is that the speed with which the nose 17 strikes the pawl 18 is reduced to an extremely large extent (in accordance with the selected eccentricity). In addition, the ratchet track can be arranged opposite the track of the stop nose so that the nose hits
