Reivindicación 1: Una composición herbicida caracterizada porque comprende una cantidad herbicidamente efectiva de un compuesto de 4-aminopicolinato de fórmula (1), donde X representa H o F; Y representa halógeno, alcoxi C₁₋₆, alquiltio C₁₋₆, ariloxi, heteroariloxi, o trifluorometilo; Z representa halógeno, alcoxi C₁₋₆, alquiltio C₁₋₆, ariloxi o nitro; y W representa -NO₂, -N₃, -NR¹R², -N=CR³R⁴ o -NHN=CR³R⁴; y donde, R¹ y R² independientemente representan H, alquilo C₁₋₆, alquenilo C₃₋₆, alquinilo C₃₋₆, arilo, heteroarilo, hidroxi, alcoxi C₁₋₆, amino, acilo C₁₋₆ carboalcoxi C₁₋₆, alquilcarbamilo C₁₋₆, alquilsulfonilo C₁₋₆, trialquilsililo C₁₋₆ o dialquilfosfonilo C₁₋₆, o R¹ y R² tomados juntos con N representan un anillo saturado o insaturado de 5 ó 6 miembros que puede contener heteroátomos O, S o N adicionales; y R³ y R⁴ independientemente representan H, alquilo C₁₋₆, alquenilo C₃₋₆, alquinilo C₃₋₆, arilo o heteroarilo, o R³ o R⁴ tomados juntos con =C representan un anillo saturado de 5 ó 6 miembros; o los derivados agrícolamente aceptables del ácido carboxílico en la posición 2 del anillo de piridina de la fórmula (1); donde, aril o ariloxi son grupos fenilo o naftilo y heteroarilo o heteroariloxi son anillos aromáticos de 5 ó 6 miembros que contienen uno o más heteroátomos que pueden estar fusionados a otros sistemas aromáticos, donde arilo, ariloxi y heteroariloxi pueden estar no substituidos o substituidos con uno o más sustituyentes seleccionados entre halógenos, hidroxi, nitro, ciano, ariloxi, formilo, alquilo C₁₋₆, alquenilo C₃₋₆, alquinilo C₃₋₆, alcoxi C₁₋₆ alquilo C₁₋₆ halogenado alcoxi C₁₋₆ halogenado, acilo C₁₋₆, alquiltio C₁₋₆, alquilsulfinilo C₁₋₆, alquil sulfonilo C₁₋₆, arilo, OC(O)alquilo C₁₋₆, NHC(O)alquilo C₁₋₆, C₍O₎OH, C₍O₎O₋ₐₗqᵘⁱₗₒ C₁₋₆, C₍O₎NH₂, C(O)NH-alquil C₁₋₆, C₍O₎N₋₍ₐₗqᵘⁱₗₒ C₁₋₆)₂ y donde, los derivados agrícolamente aceptables del ácido carboxílico en la posición 2 del anillo de piridina de la fórmula (1) se seleccionan del grupo consistente en sales, ésteres, acilhidrazinas, imidatos, tioimidatos, amidinas, amidas, ortoésteres, acilcianuros, acilhaluros, tioésteres, tionoésteres, ditioloésteres y nitrilos; y el grupo ácido carboxílico en la posición 2 del anillo de piridina de la fórmula (1) puede estar presente en forma disociada o no disociada; en mezcla con un adyuvante o portador agrícolamente aceptable. Reivindicación 5: La composición herbicida según la reivindicación 1, caracterizada porque contiene ácido 4-amino-3,6-dicloropiridina-2-carboxílico o una sal, éster o amida del mismo agriculturalmente aceptables. Reivindicación 6: Un método para controlar vegetación no deseada caracterizado porque comprende poner en contacto la vegetación o el locus de la misma con una cantidad herbicidamente efectiva de una composición herbicida de cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 5, o aplicar al suelo para impedir la emergencia o nacimiento de la vegetación, una cantidad herbicidamente efectiva de una composición herbicida de cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 5.Claim 1: A herbicidal composition characterized in that it comprises a herbicidally effective amount of a 4-aminopicolinate compound of formula (1), wherein X represents H or F; Y represents halogen, C₁₋₆ alkoxy, C₁₋₆ alkylthio, aryloxy, heteroaryloxy, or trifluoromethyl; Z represents halogen, C₁₋₆ alkoxy, C₁₋₆ alkylthio, aryloxy or nitro; and W represents -NO₂, -N₃, -NR¹R², -N = CR³R⁴ or -NHN = CR³R⁴; and where, R¹ and R² independently represent H, C₁₋₆ alkyl, C₃₋₆ alkenyl, C₃₋₆ alkynyl, aryl, heteroaryl, hydroxy, C₁₋₆ alkoxy, amino, C₁₋₆ carboalkoxy acyl, C₁₋₆ alkylcarbamyl ₆, C₁₋₆ alkylsulfonyl, C₁₋₆ trialkylsilyl or C₁₋₆ dialkylphosphonyl, or R¹ and R² taken together with N represent a saturated or unsaturated 5 or 6 membered ring which may contain additional O, S or N heteroatoms; and R³ and R⁴ independently represent H, C₁₋₆ alkyl, C₃₋₆ alkenyl, C₃₋₆ alkynyl, aryl or heteroaryl, or R³ or R⁴ taken together with = C represent a saturated 5 or 6 membered ring; or the agriculturally acceptable derivatives of the carboxylic acid at position 2 of the pyridine ring of the formula (1); where, aryl or aryloxy are phenyl or naphthyl and heteroaryl or heteroaryloxy groups are aromatic rings of 5 or 6 members containing one or more heteroatoms that may be fused to other aromatic systems, where aryl, aryloxy and heteroaryloxy may be unsubstituted or substituted with one or more substituents selected from halogens, hydroxy, nitro, cyano, aryloxy, formyl, C₁₋₆ alkyl, C₃₋₆ alkenyl, C₃₋₆ alkynyl, C₁₋₆ alkoxy halogenated C₁₋₆ halogenated alkoxy, C₁ acyl ₋₆, Cilt alkylthio, C₁₋₆ alkylsulfinyl, C₁₋₆ alkyl sulfonyl, aryl, OC (O) C₁₋₆ alkyl, NHC (O) C₁₋₆ alkyl, C₍O₎OH, C₍O₎O ₋ₐₗqᵘⁱₗₒ C₁₋₆, C₍O₎NH₂, C (O) NH-C₁₋₆ alkyl, C₍O₎N₋₍ₐₗqᵘⁱₗₒ C₁₋₆) ₂ and where, agriculturally acceptable carboxylic acid derivatives at position 2 of the pyridine ring of the formula (1) are selected from the g rupo consisting of salts, esters, acylhydrazines, imidates, thioimidates, amidines, amides, orthoesters, acylcyanides, acylhalides, thioesters, thionoesters, dithiolyesters and nitriles; and the carboxylic acid group at position 2 of the pyridine ring of the formula (1) may be present in dissociated or non-dissociated form; in admixture with an agriculturally acceptable adjuvant or carrier. Claim 5: The herbicidal composition according to claim 1, characterized in that it contains 4-amino-3,6-dichloropyridine-2-carboxylic acid or an agriculturally acceptable salt, ester or amide thereof. Claim 6: A method for controlling unwanted vegetation characterized in that it comprises contacting the vegetation or locus thereof with a herbicidally effective amount of a herbicidal composition of any one of claims 1 to 5, or applying to the soil to prevent emergence or birth of the vegetation, a herbicidally effective amount of a herbicidal composition of any one of claims 1 to 5.
