Abstract

Un combustor del tipo empleado para producir energía utilizando biomasa como combustible, en donde el combustor comprende al menos una cámara de combustión ciclónica y refractaria, estando dicha cámara de combustión dispuesta en forma compacta, dicha cámara de combustión define un medio para la realización del proceso de pirolización, gasificación, reducción y oxidación en forma instantánea, medios precalentadores definen la temperatura del aire el cual se encuentra en una relación aire combustible cercana a la estequiométrica D = 1, medios estabilizadores definen el control automático del sistema mediante la regulación de los caudales de aire y combustible. El combustor es capaz de utilizar biomasa como combustible, logrando emisiones limpias. Consiste en la combustión directa de biomasa en condiciones de alta temperatura y altas turbulencias dentro de cámaras de combustión ciclónicas refractarias, logrando una disociación completa de las moléculas de gran tamaño que contienen carbono e hidrogeno dejando como resultado; solo cenizas sólidas inertes por un lado, y gases calientes limpios por otro. La primera cámara con atmósfera reductora y la segunda con atmósfera levemente oxidante. El combustor tiene un sistema de control automático que mantiene la estabilidad del sistema a distintos regímenes de potencia y de variaciones en las características de la biomasa. Este sistema permite a través del microprocesador controlar la dosificación de la biomasa y los caudales de aire de manera que el equipo se adapta las variaciones de potencia y automáticamente a cualquier cambio de poder calorífico del combustible, y/o distinto contenido de humedad.
