Abstract
Conexiones para varillas de bombeo, preferiblemente para varillas de 5/8ö a 1-1/8ö de diámetro, formadas aplicando interferencia diametral para evitar el desacople, reduciendo la interferencia axial entre el tope de un miembro macho y el tope de un miembro hembra. La conexion puede comprender una conexion roscada conica y filetes trapezoidales, donde el contacto entre filetes es flanco contra flanco tanto en los flancos de carga como en los de acople, siendo la cresta del filete un poco más larga que la raíz del filete. Cada rosca puede tener aproximadamente de 4 a 10 hilos por pulgada, preferiblemente aproximadamente de 6 a 10 hilos por pulgada (25,4 mm), el ángulo del flanco de! filete está en un rango entre aproximadamente 2° y 10°, preferiblemente es de aproximadamente 3° con respecto a una línea perpendicular al eje de la conexion, y la conicidad de la conexion está entre aproximadamente 1/15 y 1/30 en relacion con los diámetros de la conexion. El contacto flanco contra flanco mejora el comportamiento a la fatiga y el ancho y ángulo de los filetes se determina considerando una deformacion plástica del filete muy baja. Además, las tensiones de traccion y las deformaciones plásticas que aparecen cuando se acopla la conexion de las varillas se reducen, y su distribucion es mas homogénea que en el caso de una conexion cilíndrica sin interferencia diametral, donde el desacople depende solo de la interferencia axial.
