Abstract
Un método y aparato para procesar bloques de datos durante soft handover. El aparato puede ser un sistema de comunicacion inalámbrica que incluye al menos dos Nodos B de soft handover de enlace ascendente mejorado (EU-SHO) y un controlador de red de radio (RNC). Cada Nodo B decodifica un bloque de datos recibidos y reenvía el bloque de datos decodificados al RNC. Si el RNC recibe al menos una copia de un bloque de datos exitosamente decodificados, el RNC utiliza una entidad de funcion de re- ordenamiento para procesar la copia del bloque de datos exitosamente decodificado para soportar una entrega en secuencia a capas de protocolo superiores. Si el RNC recibe más de una copia de un bloque de datos exitosamente decodificado, el RNC descarta las copias extra de bloques de datos exitosamente decodificados, el RNC descarta las copias extra de bloques de datos exitosamente decodificados. El RNC es un RNC en servicio (S-RNC) o un RNC controlante (C-RNC).
