次に本発明の第6実施形態に係る情報処理システム1300について、図13を用いて説明する。図13は、本実施形態に係る情報処理システム1300の構成を説明するためのブロック図である。本実施形態に係る情報処理システム1300は、上記第3実施形態と比べると、入力デバイスがHDD1220であり、出力デバイスがプリンタ1340である点で異なる。その他の構成および動作は、入力デバイスをHDD1220に置き換え、出力デバイスをプリンタ1340に置き換えると、第3実施形態と同様であるため、同じ構成および動作については同じ符号を付してその詳しい説明を省略する。
次に本発明の第7実施形態に係る情報処理システム1400について、図14を用いて説明する。図14は、本実施形態に係る情報処理システム1400の構成を説明するためのブロック図である。本実施形態に係る情報処理システム1400は、上記第2実施形態と比べると、出力デバイスがスピーカ1440である点で異なる。その他の構成および動作は、出力デバイスをスピーカ1440に置き換えると、第2実施形態と同様であるため、同じ構成および動作については同じ符号を付してその詳しい説明を省略する。
次に本発明の第8実施形態に係る情報処理システム1500について、図15を用いて説明する。図15は、本実施形態に係る情報処理システム1500の構成を説明するためのブロック図である。本実施形態に係る情報処理システム1500は、上記第2実施形態と比べると、出力デバイスがロボット1540である点で異なる。その他の構成および動作は、出力デバイスをロボット1540に置き換えると、第2実施形態と同様であるため、同じ構成および動作については同じ符号を付してその詳しい説明を省略する。
次に本発明の第9実施形態に係る情報処理システム1600について、図16を用いて説明する。図16は、本実施形態に係る情報処理システム1600の構成を説明するためのブロック図である。本実施形態に係る情報処理システム1600は、上記第2実施形態と比べると、出力デバイスが複数のUSBディスプレイ1640a~1640cである点でまず異なる。この時、1台のスマートフォン1610aからハブを介して複数のUSBディスプレイ1640a~1640cに映像を出力しようとすると、クラウドサーバ230が、その回線の状況を検知する。クラウドサーバ230がスマートフォン1610a1台では通信能力不足だと判断すると、スマートフォン1610aの画面に「回線能力が不足しているため表示に支障が出るおそれがあります。他の携帯電話機を追加しますか」と表示させる。ユーザは、複数のUSBディスプレイ1640a~1640cに対する表示をスムーズに行なうため、他の携帯電話機(ここではスマートフォン1610b、1610c)を接続してクラウドサーバ230にログインさせる。クラウドサーバ230は、新たに接続されたスマートフォン1610b、1610cを認識して、それぞれのUSBインタフェースに対し、分散して表示用のコンテンツデータを送信する。つまり、クラウドサーバ230が仮想ハブとしての機能と分散処理を代行する。
以上、実施形態を参照して本発明を説明したが、本発明は上記実施形態に限定されものではない。本発明の構成や詳細には、本発明のスコープ内で当業者が理解し得る様々な変更をすることができる。また、それぞれの実施形態に含まれる別々の特徴を如何様に組み合わせたシステムまたは装置も、本発明の範疇に含まれる。
Claims (17)
- 通信インタフェースを介して出力デバイスが接続された場合に、前記出力デバイスを認識し、前記出力デバイスが処理できる形式のデータを自機が出力できるか否かを判定する判定手段と、
前記判定手段により、前記出力デバイスが処理できるデータを自機が出力できないと判定された場合に、無線通信ネットワークを介して接続されたサーバに対して、前記出力デバイスが処理できる形式のデータの供給をリクエストする要求手段と、
前記サーバから提供された前記データを受信する受信手段と、
前記受信手段が受信した前記データを、前記通信インタフェースを介して前記出力デバイスに送信する送信手段と、
を備えた携帯電話機と、
前記要求手段からのリクエストに応答して、前記出力デバイスが処理できる形式のデータを前記携帯電話機に送信するサーバと、
を備えた情報処理システム。 - 前記携帯電話機は、データを記憶する記憶手段をさらに備え、
前記判定手段は、前記記憶手段で記憶しているデータが、前記出力デバイスが処理できるデータか否かを判定する請求項1に記載の情報処理システム。 - 前記サーバは、仮想通信インタフェースを含む仮想パーソナルコンピュータを備え、前記仮想通信インタフェースが、前記出力デバイスとの間で、前記携帯電話機を介して通信を行なうことにより、前記サーバが前記出力デバイスに対してデータを送信する請求項1または2に記載の情報処理システム。
- 前記要求手段は、前記判定手段により、前記出力デバイスが処理できるデータを自機が出力できないと判定された場合、前記通信インタフェースを介した前記出力デバイスとの間の通信について切断処理を行ない、前記サーバの前記仮想通信インタフェースと前記出力デバイスとの間の接続処理を要求する請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の情報処理システム。
- 前記要求手段は、前記サーバに対してデータを提供し、該データを前記データ形式に変換することをリクエストし、
前記サーバは、前記要求手段のリクエストに応じて、前記出力デバイスが処理できる形式のデータへの変換処理を行なう請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の情報処理システム。 - 前記通信インタフェースは、USBであって、前記判定手段は、セットアップ・ステージで前記出力デバイスから受信したデバイスディスクリプタに応じて前記出力デバイスが処理できるデータを自機が出力できるか否かの判定を行なう請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の情報処理システム。
- 前記判定手段はさらに、通信インタフェースを介して入力デバイスが接続された場合に、前記入力デバイスを認識し、前記入力デバイスが自機で処理できるデバイスか否かを判定し、
前記要求手段はさらに、前記判定手段により、前記入力デバイスが自機で処理できるデータを送信するデバイスではないと判定された場合に、前記入力デバイスから受信したデータの形式を、自機で処理できるデータ形式に変換することを前記サーバに対してリクエストし、
前記サーバは、前記要求手段からのリクエストに応答して、前記データの形式を、前記携帯電話機が処理することのできるデータ形式に変換する請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の情報処理システム。 - 前記要求手段は、ネットワークアドレスを指定して、前記サーバに対して、該ネットワークアドレスに保存されたデータを、前記出力デバイスが受け付けることのできるデータ形式で供給することをリクエストする請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の情報処理システム。
- 前記出力デバイスは、ディスプレイ、プロジェクタ、プリンタ、スピーカ、車両、またはロボットの少なくともいずれか1つを含む請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項に記載の情報処理システム。
- 前記通信インタフェースは、USB、IEEE1394、IEEE1888、Bluetooth(登録商標)、Wi-Fi、IrDA、SD、Zigbee(登録商標)、HDMI、MIDI、SCSI、IDE、RS232C、IEEE488(GBIB)、EIA/RS422、およびIEEE1284のいずれか1つの規格に準拠した通信インタフェースである請求項1乃至9のいずれか1項に記載の情報処理システム。
- 通信インタフェースを介して出力デバイスが接続された場合に、前記出力デバイスが処理できるデータを自機が出力できるか否かを判定する判定手段と、
前記判定手段により、前記出力デバイスが処理できるデータを自機が出力できないと判定された場合に、無線通信ネットワークを介して接続されたサーバに対して、前記出力デバイスが処理できる形式のデータの供給をリクエストする要求手段と、
前記サーバから提供された前記データを受信する受信手段と、
前記受信手段が受信した前記データを、前記通信インタフェースを介して前記出力デバイスに送信する送信手段と、
を備えた携帯電話機。 - 通信インタフェースを介して出力デバイスが接続された場合に、前記出力デバイスを認識し、前記出力デバイスが処理できるデータを自機が出力できるか否かを判定する判定ステップと、
前記判定ステップにより、前記出力デバイスが処理できるデータを自機が出力できないと判定された場合に、無線通信ネットワークを介して接続されたサーバに対して、前記出力デバイスが処理できる形式のデータの供給をリクエストする要求ステップと、
前記サーバから提供された前記データを受信する受信ステップと、
前記受信ステップにおいて受信された前記データを、前記通信インタフェースを介して前記出力デバイスに送信する送信ステップと、
を含む携帯電話機の制御方法。 - 通信インタフェースを介して出力デバイスが接続された場合に、前記出力デバイスを認識し、前記出力デバイスが処理できる形式のデータを自機が出力できるか否かを判定する判定ステップと、
前記判定ステップにより、前記出力デバイスが処理できるデータを自機が出力できないと判定された場合に、無線通信ネットワークを介して接続されたサーバに対して、前記出力デバイスが処理できる形式のデータの供給をリクエストする要求ステップと、
前記サーバから提供された前記データを受信する受信ステップと、
前記受信ステップにおいて受信された前記データを、前記通信インタフェースを介して前記出力デバイスに送信する送信ステップと、
をコンピュータに実行させる携帯電話機の制御プログラム。 - 請求項1乃至10のいずれか1項に記載の情報処理システムに含まれるサーバであって、
前記携帯電話機の前記要求手段からのリクエストに応答して、前記出力デバイスが処理できる形式のデータを前記携帯電話機に送信するサーバ。 - 請求項1乃至10のいずれか1項に記載の情報処理システムに含まれるサーバの制御方法であって、
前記携帯電話機の前記要求手段からのリクエストに応答して、前記出力デバイスが処理できる形式のデータを前記携帯電話機に送信する送信ステップを備えるサーバの制御方法。 - 請求項1乃至10のいずれか1項に記載の情報処理システムに含まれるサーバの制御プログラムであって、
前記携帯電話機の前記要求手段からのリクエストに応答して、前記出力デバイスが処理できる形式のデータを前記携帯電話機に送信する送信ステップをコンピュータに実行させるサーバの制御プログラム。 - 通信インタフェースを介して出力デバイスが接続された場合に、前記出力デバイスを認識し、前記出力デバイスが処理できる形式のデータを出力できるか否かを携帯電話機が判定する判定ステップと、
前記判定ステップにより、前記出力デバイスが処理できるデータを自機が出力できないと判定された場合に、無線通信ネットワークを介して接続されたサーバに対して、前記出力デバイスが処理できる形式のデータの供給を前記携帯電話機がリクエストする要求ステップと、
前記リクエストに応答して、前記出力デバイスが処理できるデータ形式のデータを前記携帯電話機に前記サーバが送信する第1送信ステップと、
前記サーバから提供された前記データを前記携帯電話機が受信する受信ステップと、
前記受信ステップにおいて受信された前記データを、前記通信インタフェースを介して前記出力デバイスに前記携帯電話機が送信する第2送信ステップと、
を含む情報処理方法。
