This invention relates to an ironing press,

In an ironing press, a frame having a fixed ironing member mounted thereon, a cylinder pivotally mounted at the lower portion of said frame, a piston disposed within said cylinder and having an upwardly extending rod, a cooperating movable ironing member carried by the upper end of saidsaid cylinder and leading to the opposite ends'thereof to control the movement of the piston therein, and controlling valves connected for simultaneous operation to supply or exhaust through said connections.

In an ironing pressya frame having a fixed ironing member mounted thereon, a cylinder pivotally mountedat the lower portion of said frame, a piston disposed within said cylinder and having an upwardly extending rod, a cooperating movable ironing member carried by the upper end-of said rod, power connections wlth the pivots of said cylinder and leading to the opposite ends thereof to control the movement of the plston there n, controlling valves adapted to supply or exhaust through said connections,

exhaust pipe extending from each n of said, valves, and means connecting sa1d valves provided with steam passages extending through the trunnions,'and communicating with opposite ends of said cylinder, an ironing member carried by said cylinder, controlling valves each having a port connected 7 to one ofsaid trunnions, a steam feed valves, an exhaust pipe extending from each ofsaid valves, means connecting sa1d valves for simultaneous operation to exhaust from pipe communicating with each of said one trunnion as steam is fed to the opposite one, anda steam chest carried by said frame and communicating with said feed pipe.
